Bio

Julia Rose Guerin

I am a professional artist who loves to laugh and experience the beauty of the world and its abounding mysteries.  I believe the world is full of magic and brilliant art inspirations in every nook and cranny.  I love creating imaginary worlds and capturing animals and their funny personalities.  I work mainly in acrylic paint but I also enjoy drawing, print making, felting, soft sculpture, and india ink.

I graduated from IU Bloomington and am an Elementary Art teacher.   I am also a Healing Artist for Parkview Hospital where I go from room to room helping people to create art, or creating art for them, in order to help them heal mentally, emotionally, and physically.  Art is a powerful thing!

I did a semester abroad in Australia, went to Guatemala to learn Spanish, traveled to Israel and Jordan, and did my student teaching on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona.  I love nature (especially birds), riding my bike, and I hope to nurture a life long love of exploration, expression, creativity in my students.

I love art, I am passionate about improving my craft every day, and I am always looking for new materials and projects to work on.

I can draw or paint anything in the medium of your choice as long as you give me a picture to work from or a general idea of what you invision.

Commissioned pieces are always a lot of fun for me and I enjoy bringing people's ideas and visions to life!
